In the guise of a pitcher in the act of throwing a ball, its meaning is about that moment when a person, or people have to confront a foe, a situation, a fear, or an injustice that seems overwhelming and insurmountable. It’s about action, giving it your best shot no matter what, and having courage to stand up and face the existential uncertainties of life that we as human beings all face.
